About Our Feast Day
Honoring the Legacy of a Beloved Saint

Saint Padre Pio
Patron Saint Of Our Parish
Each year, on September 23rd, the Catholic Church worldwide commemorates the Feast Day of Saint Padre Pio, a humble yet extraordinary Capuchin friar known for his deep spirituality, miraculous healings, and unwavering faith. As the patron saint of our parish, St. Pio holds a special place in our hearts, and his feast day is a time of great significance for our community.
Brief History About St.pio
Born Francesco Forgione on May 25, 1887, in Pietrelcina, Italy, Padre Pio entered the Capuchin order at the age of 15, taking the name “Pio” in honor of Pope Pius I. His life was marked by profound piety, extraordinary spiritual gifts, and a deep devotion to God. Padre Pio became widely known for his stigmata—visible wounds resembling those of Christ—which he bore for 50 years. Despite the physical and spiritual challenges he faced, he remained a beacon of faith and hope for millions around the world.
Padre Pio’s life was a testament to the power of prayer, suffering, and unconditional love for God and humanity. He spent countless hours in the confessional, offering spiritual guidance and forgiveness to all who sought it. His ability to read souls, perform miraculous healings, and his devotion to the Eucharist and the Blessed Virgin Mary inspired countless people to deepen their own faith. Even after his death in 1968, Padre Pio’s influence continues to touch the lives of the faithful through his writings, teachings, and the numerous miracles attributed to his intercession.
