On June 3rd, the Catholic Church commemorates the Feast Day of Saint Charles Lwanga and his companions, known as the Martyrs of Uganda. This day is a powerful reminder of the strength, courage, and unwavering faith displayed by Saint Charles Lwanga and his fellow martyrs, who chose to die rather than renounce their Christian beliefs.
Saint Charles Lwanga was born in the Kingdom of Buganda (present-day Uganda) in 1860. He served as a page in the court of King Mwanga II, where he became known for his leadership, integrity, and deep Christian faith.
